With the new year, we are excited to announce something new that is available to our patients and prospective patients. As many of you know, our office doesn’t accept insurance because insurance would never allow us to practice the way we do and help so many of you achieve your goals of living with less pain and better movement. We understand we are an investment in time and effort and strive to provide the highest quality experience possible.
That being said, we’d like to tell you all more about Reimbursify. Reimbursify is a system we are introducing to help you get reimbursed for your visits at Strength & Spine. I know, I just said we do not accept insurance, however, ANY time you go to an out-of-network provider, you can ask for a superbill. A superbill is an itemized receipt that we can provide you with a list of diagnostic codes and procedure codes that you can submit to your insurance for partial to full reimbursement. In addition, this new system will allow us to check your benefits to see what exactly is covered and how you can file a claim to get reimbursed.
See, we didn’t go to school for all those years to have to sit on the phone and figure out where to submit a claim. Because insurance companies and insurance plans are SOOOOO different and difficult, we decided to get this system to make life easier for our patients. So here is what you do, after utilizing the visits in your package, we type up the superbills and send them to you. From there, you use the “use Insurance” widget on our website to submit that superbill to your insurance company. All you’ll need is your insurance information and the superbill we provided you and follow the instructions.
Now, there is no guarantee that you will get reimbursed. We are NOT saying that you will get covered by any means, but MOST of you will if you put in a little effort. Some insurance companies would have never covered care like ours, regardless of the plan, but some will and it’s worth the shot. On our end, nothing changes. You will still purchase packages and/or be charged on your credit or debit cards from us. However, once you submit those superbills, your insurance company will send you a check or electronically pay you.
Being that it is the beginning of the year, it’s time for deductibles to restart. These superbills will help you reach that deductible. For example, if you have a family deductible of $5000, and you get a 10-pack for $2,670, you can submit those documents using the system on our website to use that towards your deductible. Using Reimbursfy will be a game changer for many of you and we are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to you.
